What is a mold assessment?
An assessment evaluates interior surfaces, moisture conditions, and indoor air to determine whether mold growth may be present. Grounded in building science and industrial hygiene.
- Visual and structural evaluation
- Moisture mapping and thermography
- Air, surface, cavity, and dust sampling as needed
- Environmental data logging (temperature, RH, dew point)
Sampling and analysis
- Air sampling. Spore traps, control samples, targeted zones and baselines.
- Cavity sampling. Interstitial air from wall and ceiling cavities under negative pressure.
- Surface sampling. Swab and tape lifts for visible or suspected growth.
- Dust sampling (optional). ERMI / HERTSMI per client spec.
- Laboratory. AIHA-accredited. Microscopy (EM/PCM). Culture where applicable.
