What is a Mold Assessment?
An assessment evaluates interior surfaces, moisture conditions, and indoor air to determine whether mold growth may be present. Grounded in building science and industrial hygiene.
- Visual & structural evaluation
- Moisture mapping & thermography
- Air, surface, cavity & dust sampling (as needed)
- Environmental data logging (T/RH/dew point)
Sampling & Analysis
- Air Sampling: spore traps; control samples; targeted zones & baselines
- Cavity Sampling: interstitial air from wall/ceiling cavities (under negative pressure)
- Surface Sampling: swab/tape lifts for visible/suspected growth
- Dust Sampling (optional): ERMI / HERTSMI per client spec
- Laboratory: AIHA/NY/AIQP-accredited; microscopy (EM/PCM); culture where applicable
